Who we are
Shika Studio is the salon web-studio brand of Eternal Raine Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 16505815). When this page says "we" or "us", that is who we mean. For anything about your data, email mah@shika.group.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus anonymous visit statistics if you accept cookies (see Cookies and analytics below). We do not run advertising pixels that follow you around the web.
- Giveaway entries: your name, salon name, email address, town or city, your current website or Instagram, and (optionally) the salon owner you tag for a bonus entry.
- Direct enquiries: if you email us or use a contact form, whatever you put in that message.
Why we use it
- To run the monthly giveaway and let you know if you have won.
- To reply to you and, if you ask us to, to build and look after your website.
- To send you the occasional note about Shika Studio. You can opt out any time by replying "stop".
We rely on your consent (you entered or got in touch) and our legitimate interest in running the studio.
Where it is kept
Giveaway entries are stored in a private Google Sheet, and emails are sent through Google Workspace. These are reputable providers with strong security. Access is limited to us. We never sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except the tools we need to run the studio.
Cookies and analytics
When you first arrive, we ask whether you are happy for us to use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, roughly how many people visit, which guides they read, and where they came from. Nothing is stored and no analytics cookies are set until you click Accept. If you click Decline, we collect no visit data from you at all.
We use this only to improve the site. It is never used for advertising, and it is never sold. You can change your choice any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back.
How long we keep it
We keep entries and enquiries for as long as we are in touch and for a reasonable period afterwards. Ask us to delete your details at any time and we will, unless we are legally required to keep them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Just email mah@shika.group and we will sort it within 30 days. If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We keep it simple.
The giveaway terms
The short version: each month we give one salon a complete website, free to set up, with the first month free too. Here are the details.
- Free to enter. No purchase is necessary to enter or to win.
- Who can enter: salon, hair, beauty and nail businesses in the UK. One main entry per salon, plus one bonus entry if you tag another salon owner.
- The prize: the complete Shika Studio salon website (the same one we build for paying clients), with the one-time setup waived and the first month of hosting and care free.
- After the free month: the website continues at the standard £20 a month to host, care for and update. There is no contract, you can cancel any time, and if you cancel we will not keep your site live.
- Choosing the winner: we select one entrant each month at our discretion and announce them on our Instagram. We will contact the winner by email.
- Building it: the winner agrees to send their photos, services and details so we can build the site, and to the reveal being filmed for social media. If a winner does not respond within 14 days, we may choose another.
- This giveaway is run by Eternal Raine Ltd and is not sponsored or endorsed by Instagram.
The service terms
- What you get: a four-page website (home, services, gallery, contact), built from your photos and details, hosted and kept secure, with updates done for you by email.
- Pricing: a one-time setup fee (currently a £249 July offer, normally £749) and £20 a month thereafter. Prices may change for new clients, but we will always tell you before any change to yours.
- It is yours: your content, your web address and your brand remain yours. We host and maintain the site for you while you are a client.
- Cancelling: no contract, cancel any time. On cancellation the monthly hosting and care ends and the site is taken offline.
