The idea

Your website has a second version you have never seen.

People no longer only read websites. Increasingly they ask an assistant a question and read an answer assembled from websites. That answer is built from whatever a machine could reliably establish about you, which is often much less than you think.

AI Site View exists to show a business that second version of itself: what is clearly extracted, what is only inferred, and what is simply missing.

The problem with the category

Everyone else was guessing.

The obvious way to build this is to ask a language model what it thinks of a website and print the answer. That produces something that sounds authoritative and means nothing, because the model is partly recalling and partly inventing.

So the product does the opposite. It states plainly what it tested, labels each finding as extracted, inferred or unknown, and separates what it verified from what it assumed. The honesty is the product.

The direction

A machine-readable aesthetic, not a marketing one.

The interface borrows from terminals and instrument panels rather than from SaaS marketing pages: a deep green-black ground, monospace labels for anything the system measured, and colour used strictly as status rather than decoration.

The result reads as a tool that ran a test, which is the correct impression, because that is what happened.

The experience

Prove it before asking for anything.

There is no signup wall and no email gate before the value arrives. You put in a URL, the check runs, and you see your result. Only then does it make sense to ask for anything.

The example output sits on the homepage in full, so a visitor knows exactly what they will get before they type. Almost every product we advise founders on gets this recommendation, and this is us taking our own advice.

The build

A real check, not a rendered opinion.

The system fetches the site the way an automated reader would, tests crawler access directly rather than assuming it, and reports on what it found in the actual response.

That distinction matters more than it sounds. A site can look perfect to a person and be substantially invisible to a machine because of one header, one blocked user-agent or one page that only exists after JavaScript runs.

Where it is now

Live, and doing a job for the studio too.

AI Site View is live and running checks. It also does something useful for Shika Studio: every site we build gets checked with it before launch, which is how we can say that machine readability is part of the product rather than an afterthought.

Two halves of one business. The studio builds sites that need to be readable. The product is what tells us honestly whether they are.
