Biotech, pharma and life sciences

Your science is sophisticated.
Your website should be too.

We design and build websites for biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life-sciences companies that need to communicate complex work with clarity, credibility and visual confidence.

The usual problem

The science moved. The website did not.

Four things we see on almost every life-sciences site we are asked to look at.

01

Everything important is inside a PDF

The pipeline, the mechanism, the team. All of it locked in a deck that a partner has to ask for and a search engine cannot read.

02

It reads like a paper, or like a brochure

Either impenetrable to anyone outside the lab, or so smoothed down that a scientist stops trusting it. The site has to work for both readers on the same page.

03

Nobody can tell what stage you are at

Preclinical, in the clinic, partnered, raising. A visitor should not have to infer your stage from a press release date.

04

It does not look like the money you are asking for

A serious partner conversation starts with the website. If it looks like a template, the first impression is already working against you.

What we build

What a life-sciences site actually has to do

Science without the confusion

We translate a mechanism into a story a non-specialist can follow and a specialist still respects. Structure first, then illustration.

Credibility for every audience

Partners, investors, regulators, researchers and future employees all land on the same site with different questions. Each needs an obvious path.

Partnering that is easy to start

It should take one screen to understand what you do, what stage you are at, and who to contact. Most sites make this the hardest thing to find.

Motion and 3D where it earns its place

A scaffold, a delivery mechanism, a pathway. Animation is genuinely the clearest way to explain some things. We use it there and nowhere else.

News, publications and pipeline

Structured so you can add an announcement or move a programme forward without needing us, and without the layout falling apart.

Readable by machines, not only people

Clean semantics, correct metadata, real text instead of images of text. A growing share of first impressions now happens inside an AI answer.

How we handle claims

We will not write a claim your data does not support.

Life sciences is the one sector where enthusiastic copywriting is a liability. Overstate a mechanism, imply an efficacy result you do not have, or blur preclinical into clinical, and you have created a regulatory and investor-relations problem that outlives the website.

So we work the other way round. Every claim on the page traces to something you have given us. Where the source material disagrees with itself, we come back and ask rather than picking the better-sounding version. Where something cannot be supported yet, we leave it out and tell you, rather than shipping it with a note attached.

Your regulatory and scientific team has the final word on every line. We build the site so their corrections are cheap to make.

Client work Biotechnology·Switzerland

From a deck and a one-page storefront to a full corporate site

There was no prior codebase, no design system and no asset library. We built the structure, the identity system, the scientific figures and the whole site, then handed it over to hosting the client controls.

Start a biotech project

Send us the deck.

A pitch deck and a rough content document is genuinely enough to begin. That is exactly what the Komava build started from.

Every project is scoped individually. Once we understand what you need, we will give you a clear fixed proposal before work begins.
